This is a collection we have been craving for and it completes a palette of Ethnic sounds to seamlessly integrate with our other instruments. Extending the Sonokinetic Ethnic sampling portfolio with a brand new instrument of Middle Eastern Percussion Ensembles.

This collection spans a wide variety of Middle Eastern drums and percussion instruments. With a focus on a balanced collection, we decided to offer as many performance elements as we could with multi-articulated, round robin, multi-dynamic layered sampled instruments. Each instrument that can be found in 1 of the 10 styles is extensively multi-sampled to provide you with a complete composing tool. There’s much to explore in this collection. Get yourself some inspiration from the top-notch performed percussion ensemble or build your own palette of playable drums and percussion.

Sultan Drums ships with a user-friendly and dedicated interface. It’s designed to work intuitively and give you quick access to this large collection of samples. is a VSTi virtual instrument for Windows, it includes Middle Eastern instruments with some velocity switch samples for some patches.

hat makes Sylenth look so good!  Awesome skin. I'm definitely going to watch out for that next build.  Much nicer than what was shipped!

Just in case anyone wants to mod a MAC file, it's really easy.  

Mac Apps are actually folders even though they look like single files.  If you right click on the VST or AU (or any other Application), and select "Show Package Contents" it will open up a folder.  Inside that folder you should find a folder called "Content" and inside that folder will be a folder called "Resources" and the image files should be located in there.  

So, to reskin Sylenth [ (MAC OS X) ]:

1) Browse (from the root) to /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/

2) Right click on "Sylenth.vst" and choose "Show Package Contents"

3) Browse to /Contents/Resources

4) Find the image file you want to update and back it up (in case you want to switch back to the old skin later!)

5) Replace the image file.  

NOTE:  It's mandatory that the new files(s) be in the exactly the same format and named exactly the same name as the file you are replacing.  In other words if the file is a .png file in the Resources folder, the new file must also be a .png.  (I screwed this up and wondered why it wasn't working.  Ha ha!)

Black Skin For Ableton Live 9

Note: For those who follow my work but don't know what Ableton Live is, this design contains no custom imagery replacements as my usual work does! It's essentially a color theme. Live is notoriously a royal pain to do even that.

Installation:

- WIN: Place LT.ask in C:\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 9.x Suite\Resources\Skins.

- MAC: Right click on Ableton app icon > show package contents> app resources> skins.

- Select skin in Live preferences.

- Do remember to transfer the skin over to any new Live installations/updates.

1.02 Notes:

- Freeze tracks now have a hint of blue. Previously they were white hindering text readability.

- Tracks in Arrangement view that differed from Session view were appearing solid white. They are now subtley pink to reflect the 'Back to Arrangement' button color. (Thanks andresnol.)

1.01 Notes:

- Changed sequencer note colors to pink/red instead of blue. I preferred blue, but the highlight color was also blue, which I couldn't change because that color is shared for other things. *grumble*

1.0 Notes:

- It's very likely that some small areas will look shitty. This is something we all have to live with as the skinning system for Live is terrible, and many sections/params share the same color. That said, I'll continue to look out for anything I can improve and post updates when I do.
